MVP development: common questions
How much does MVP development cost?
MVP development at iHux costs a fixed $8,500 (£6,500 in the UK) for one platform and one core flow. The senior review, the security report and 7 days of free fixes after delivery are included, and the price is agreed in writing before we start.
How long does it take to build an MVP?
14 working days from kickoff to delivery: design directions on day 1, designs approved on day 3, a progress call on day 7, the senior review and security report on day 11, and delivery on day 14.
What's the difference between an MVP and a prototype?
A prototype shows how a product could look and work, but it isn't built for real customers. An MVP is a working first version: real code and one core flow your users can actually use, reviewed by a senior engineer before you launch.
What's included in the MVP?
One platform and one core flow, designed with you and built in 14 working days; a senior engineer's review of every line with a security report; the code, yours from the first commit; and 7 days of free fixes after delivery. A second platform, extra flows and ongoing feature work are not included.
Who owns the code?
You do, from the first commit.
What happens after the 14 days?
You get 7 days of free fixes after delivery. If you want to build the full product or need ongoing maintenance, we scope and quote it after the MVP, with the same team.
Can you build an AI MVP?
Yes. If your core flow uses AI, such as an assistant, smart search or automation, we build it into the MVP like any other feature, as long as it fits one platform and one core flow.
What if I'm slow to give feedback?
The clock pauses while we wait on you, so the days you spend deciding never come out of your 14 working days, and the price stays the same.
Is 7 days of fixes enough?
The 7 days cover bugs in what we delivered that show up once you use it. Before delivery, a senior engineer has already read every line and written a security report. New features aren't fixes: we scope and quote them after the MVP.
